Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1:
ARRIVE COLOMBO * ON TO DAMBULLA (129 KMS / APPROX. 4 HOURS DRIVE)

Welcome to your tour of 'Stunning Srilanka' On arrival at the airport in Colombo you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Dambulla.
The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.
Overnight in Dambulla.

Day 2:
ON TO KANDY (72 KMS / APPROX. 2 HOURS DRIVE)

After breakfast, drive to Kandy to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the central highland with its hills and mountains, en route visit Dambulla Cave Temple and Spice Garden.
The Dambulla Cave Temple is a monastery on a massive rock towering above the plains of Dambulla. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the best preserved of Sri Lanka's cave complexes and has been a sacred place for over two centuries. The complex comprises over 80 caves, five of which are the important ones with over 150 statues mainly of Buddha, and of Sri Lankan kings, gods and goddesses.
Later, visit Ranweli Spice Garden.
On arrival, check-in to your hotel in Kandy.
Later in the afternoon, proceed on a city tour of Kandy visiting places like Gem Museum and the Lapidary.

Day 3:
IN KANDY EXCURSION TO NUWARA ELIYA (75 KMS / APPROX. 2 HOURS DRIVE)

After breakfast, proceed on an excursion to Nuwara Eliya.
Situated at around 2000m above sea level and surrounded by lush tea plantations, Nuwara Eliya is the main hill resort of Sri Lanka and the heart of the tea industry. Once a pleasure retreat of the European planters, the town is still very much an English town with many English style bungalows and buildings. Nuwara Eliya is a good escape for those who miss cool breeze in tropical Sri Lanka at any time of the year. Local tourists flock to this town from March to May when it is the hottest duration for the town, April being the busiest. Nuwara Eliya offers many activities for tourists like tea plantations, golfing, horse riding, boating, hiking and of course exploring the beauty of the landscaped gardens, waterfalls and plateaus.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city.

Day 4:
ON TO BENTOTA (179 KMS / APPROX. 4 HOURS DRIVE)

After breakfast, drive to Bentota. On arrival, check-in to your hotel.

Day 5:
ON TO COLOMBO (203 KMS / APPROX. 4 HOURS DRIVE)

After breakfast, proceed to ColomboEnjoy the drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. On arrival, check-in to your hotel.
In the afternoon, proceed on a city tour of Colombo. It is a bustling metropolis that considerably generates 50% of nation's economy. Driving along the sweeping streets bordered by the race courses and World War II airstrip, Colombo is a tourist magnet. City's historical locales are transformed into modern day metropolitan area by lavish clothing, food and tea boutiques. Pettah is known for its floating market and the offbeat shopping experience it has on offer. It is worth strolling in the upcoming offshore city of Colombo Port featuring parks, commercial complexes and an F1 track. On your way to Bauddhaloka Mawatha, it is a must to witness the Independence Square

Day 6:
DEPART COLOMBO

Today, bid farewell to your 'Stunning Srilanka' tour as you are transferred from hotel to the airport in Colombo for your onward journey.
