Document required for Brazil Visa
Tourist Visa
- Current passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended travel date; handwritten passports are not accepted.
- Previous passports, where available, and clear copies of the passport identity pages.
- Completed online visa application with the generated receipt, printed and signed to match the passport signature.
- Two recent colour photographs, preferably 35 × 45 mm, on a white background.
- Signed cover letter stating the purpose of travel and exact dates matching the itinerary.
- Confirmed return flight booking, confirmed accommodation and a day-by-day travel itinerary.
- Original personal bank statements for the last 6 months, stamped by the bank, and personal income-tax returns for the last 3 years.
- Employee: last 3 months’ salary slips and employer leave or no-objection letter.
- Business owner: business registration proof, company cover letter, company bank statements and company tax returns.
- Minor: notarised consent signed by both parents with copies of their passports or other signed identity documents.
- A prior appointment is mandatory, and supporting documents must be uploaded with the online application.
- Apply well in advance and keep sufficient time between submission and travel.
- The applicant may be called for an interview or asked for further documents.
- An original yellow-fever vaccination certificate is required for travel where applicable; it is not listed as a visa-processing document.
- Requirements may vary depending on the responsible consulate and individual case.
Business Visa
- Current passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended travel date, together with previous passports where available.
- Completed online visa application with the generated receipt, printed and signed to match the passport signature.
- Two recent colour photographs, preferably 35 × 45 mm, on a white background.
- Detailed company cover letter stating the applicant’s role, purpose of travel, business activity, day-by-day agenda, exact travel dates and details of both companies.
- Invitation from the Brazilian company, notarised in Brazil or digitally signed through the Brazilian government portal, showing the signer’s name, role and contact details.
- Company registration evidence where relevant and any declaration requested for the proposed business activity.
- Confirmed accommodation and confirmed return flight booking with adequate time after submission.
- Personal bank statements for the last 6 months and personal income-tax returns for the last 3 years.
- Employee: last 3 months’ salary slips and employer no-objection letter.
- Business owner: company bank statements, company tax returns for the last 3 years and business registration proof.
- A prior appointment is mandatory, and supporting documents must be uploaded with the online application.
- An electronic route may be available for eligible business cases; confirm the applicable route before applying.
- Travel involving technical work, installation, training or transfer of technical knowledge may require a different visa category.
- The applicant may be called for an interview or asked for further documents.
- Requirements may vary depending on the responsible consulate and individual case.

Important Visa Information
- Complete the online application, upload all supporting documents and book a prior appointment before submission.
- Payment instructions are issued through the applicable consular process. Where an identified bank transfer is required, payment must come from the applicant’s own account and the applicant’s name must appear in the receiving account record.
- The consular authority may request additional documents or an online or in-person interview.
- Applicants whose passports were issued in Maharashtra, Goa or Karnataka are generally required to apply through Mumbai.
- Travel involving technical work may require a different visa category from a standard business visa.
- An original yellow-fever vaccination certificate may be required during travel even when it is not required for visa processing.
